These were the words of Simon Pickering of Finance IOM (part of the Department of Enterprise) who co-hosted AILO’s recent networking and panel event on the Isle of Man. Simon went on to say “…. it is more important than ever to be a part of an international respected trade body like AILO, to ensure our member companies and the IOM as a jurisdiction remain associated with education, values and professionalism.”

The Manx Museum provided a superb venue for Members and guests to get together, and it was great to catch up with so many of you again.

The panel topic was “Opportunities for growth in the cross-border life sector” with speakers discussing key aspects of our industry and sharing views from their specialist perspective. Many thanks to David White (QB Partners), John Whitehouse (Hansard International), Marie Hainge (Utmost Wealth) and Mark Cady (Zurich Life International) for their contribution to a most interesting and engaging panel discussion.

Thanks also to Simon Willoughby (AILO Proposition Executive) for setting the scene and to Jonathan Hall (AILO Legal & Regulatory Executive) for expertly facilitating the debate.

Finally, thanks to everyone who came along and participated in what was a most enjoyable evening.
