Huge congratulations to Mark Armstrong who was announced winner of the James Ball Award at the recent AILO Members’ Meeting.

On behalf of AILO Members, Bob thanked Mark for his magnificent contribution to the industry over his 30-year career, predominantly with Life Companies.  Bob noted Mark’s contribution to AILO as a representative and Chair of the Investment Committee, a member of the VAT Arbitrage working group and as a founding member of the initial PRIIPS working group.

Most significantly, Bob extended his heartfelt thanks for Mark’s commitment to AILO during a particularly uncertain period of transition for the Association in 2018 when Mark stepped up as AILO Chair.

Mark said he was genuinely moved and considered it a huge honour to receive the award.

The James Ball Award was instigated by AILO in memory of James Ball, a founder of the international industry and AILO, who died suddenly in May 2005. This annual award is made to the individual who has, in the opinion of AILO’s Members, made a significant contribution to the international and cross border life industry over the past 12 months.
