Registration opens for AILO’s Lifting the Lid 2 webinar series

  • September 7 2026

Following the success of last year’s programme, AILO’s Lifting the Lid webinar series returns this autumn with five more opportunities to look inside the specialist financial services that influence cross-border Life.

Each 45-minute lunchtime webinar will combine a concise overview with a Q&A session featuring an experienced sector professional. Together, we will explore:

  • What the featured financial service provides and the client needs it meets
  • Who its clients are and how it works with them
  • How the service operates and is remunerated
  • Why it matters to cross-border Life and how the sectors work together

The 2026 programme

Wednesday 23 September — Custodian Banks
With Karen Burfoot and José Antonio Perez Bolea, Allfunds Bank

Wednesday 30 September — Professional Trustee Services
With Laura Tommis, ZEDRA

Wednesday 7 October — Independent Financial Advisers
With Mike Twist, Investment Interest Management Ltd

Wednesday 14 October — Financial Reinsurance
With David Walton, Munich Re

Wednesday 21 October — Fund Managers
With Dean Shanley, HSBC Asset Management

All sessions take place from 12.00–12.45 BST / 13.00–13.45 CEST.

CPD certificates will be sent for all attendance. Participants who attend all five sessions will also receive a special recognition certificate, demonstrating their commitment to understanding the wider ecosystem supporting the cross-border Life sector.

The series is available exclusively to colleagues across AILO member organisations.
